Office Manager

Since joining Dr. Pearle’s practice in 2012, Dana Martin has been at the heart of its operations. As Office Manager, she ensures every aspect of the patient experience runs seamlessly—from scheduling and coordination to long-term follow-up. Her calm leadership and deep understanding of both clinical and administrative systems keep the practice running with precision and warmth. Known for balancing efficiency with empathy, Dana fosters a culture of trust and attentiveness that patients feel from their very first interaction.

Akili K. Williams-Murray, MS, ATC

Assistant Office Manager & Surgical Coordinator

Akili Williams-Murray brings the discipline of an athlete and the insight of a medical professional to her role. A certified athletic trainer and former elite judo competitor, she understands what it means to recover, rebuild, and return stronger. Since joining Dr. Pearle’s team in 2013, Akili has combined clinical expertise with exceptional organizational skill to guide patients through surgery and rehabilitation. Her steady presence and commitment to excellence reflect the practice’s dedication to care that is both highly skilled and deeply personal.

Jessica DeLorenzo, MPA

Assistant Office Manager & Biller

With a background in medical management and a master’s in public administration, Jessica DeLorenzo brings clarity and precision to every aspect of billing and operations. A former Division I athlete, she approaches her work with focus and accountability—qualities that help patients feel supported and informed throughout their care. Jessica’s professionalism and empathy ensure that behind the practice’s complex logistics is a team member who treats every patient interaction with integrity and care.

Nicholas Abel, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Nicholas Abel is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedic sports medicine. Before earning his master’s degree at Long Island University, he was a professional pitcher in the New York Mets organization, where he first met Dr. Pearle, the team’s physician. That shared foundation in athletics informs Nick’s approach to patient care: precise, collaborative, and focused on restoring performance. Since joining the practice in 2019, he has become a trusted surgical assistant and patient advocate, known for his calm expertise and deep understanding of what it takes to get back in the game.

Emma Jane Smith, NP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Emma Jane Smith is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in orthopedic and sports medicine care. She works closely with Dr. Pearle to evaluate, treat, and support patients through both surgical and non-surgical recovery. Skilled in joint injections and injury management, Emma Jane combines clinical expertise with a compassionate, motivating approach that helps patients move confidently through each stage of healing. Her goal is simple and steadfast: to help every patient return to the activities they love, stronger than before.
